摘要 PURPOSE:To provide a structure for connecting belts without forming stepped parts on the surfaces of connecting parts in connecting the glass-fiber reinforced resin belts. CONSTITUTION:This structure for connecting belts 11 comprises a covering layer 12 of a fluoroethylene polymer or a copolymer on at least one surface of a glass fiber fabric 11. The structure is obtained by peeling the covering layer on at least the one surface at the end of the belt to be connected, exposing the glass fiber fabric, cutting the end of the exposed glass fiber fabric into, e.g. a zigzag form, butting the mutual end faces thereof so as to be mutually entangled into the zigzag form. forming a recessed part 13, superposing a covering layer 14 comprising a sheet of the fluoroethylene polymer or copolymer of the same dimensions as those of the recessed part on the recessed part in a flush state with each other and hot-pressing the superposed layers. Furthermore, a covering layer 15 comprising a glass fiber fabric in place of the sheet may be formed in the other recessed part in both the recessed parts 13.
