PURPOSE:To produce an antimicrobial acrylonitrile-based fiber having an excellent antimicrobial activity with a small amount of a metal compound and dyeable without reducing the antimicrobial activity by blending a specified metal compound with an AN-based fiber dyeable with an anionic dye. CONSTITUTION:A metal compound of silver, copper, zinc, etc., sparingly soluble in water and having an antimicrobial activity is blended with an AN-based fiber dyeable with an anionic dye so that the metal compound may be contained in an amount of about 1 to 200m.mol/kg on metal ion base. Bleaching treatment, dyeing treatment and washing treatment can be carried out without coming off or elution of the metal compound from the fiber. |
