A prepreg sheet is provided which includes a layer of a composite meterial for damping vibration prepared by impregnating unidirectionally aligned reinforcing fibers in a matrix resin and semi-hardening the base resin and a coating thereon of a viscoelastic damping material in a semi-hardened or hardenedcondition, the viscoelastic damping material having a low Young's modulus with high vibration, at room temperature.
