PURPOSE:To obtain a polyester film comprising a polyester resin produced from a specific acid component and a specific alcohol component, having high thermal shrinkability even at relative low temperature, excellent in shrinking adhesivity to a container such as a bottle, giving a shrinkable cover free from the irregularity of the shrinkability, and useful as a wrapping material for various articles, etc. CONSTITUTION:This film comprises a polyester resin produced from (A) an acid component consisting mainly of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid or its ester- forming derivative and (B) an alcohol component and satisfies inequalities: S60>=5%, S80>=30% and (S90-S80)>=3% wherein S60, S80 and S90 are shrinkage degrees shrunk in the hot water bathes of 60 deg.C, 80 deg.C and 90 deg.C for a min, respectively. The resin preferably comprises a component A consisting mainly of terephthalic acid (i) or its ester-forming derivative and a component B consisting mainly of ethylene glycol (ii) wherein the sum of the ratio of the component A excluding the component (i) in the component A and the ratio of the component B excluding the component (ii) in the component B is preferably 10-50mol.%. |
