PURPOSE:To isomerize xylene containing ethylbenzene with a catalyst, to attain the dealkylation of ethylbenzene and the balanced isomerization of ortho-xylene and meta-xylene into para-xylene, and to improve the recovery rate of xylene. CONSTITUTION:The catalyst for isomerizing xylenes containing zeolite having a main void size of a ten-membered ring of oxygen and a silica/alumina ratio smaller than 35 and zeolite having a main void size of a ten membered ring of oxygen and a silica/alumina ratio of 35 or more, and the method for the isomerization of xylenes are provided. |
