<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a water paint for coating outside of a can capable of forming coating film having excellent smoothness and glossiness of a film sur face, excellent in processability, adhesivity and retort resistance and enabling very little fume generation in heating. CONSTITUTION:A resin mixture is obtained by reacting (a) 50-90 pts.wt. of resin of at least one kind selected from among acrylic resins and polyester resins, containing acid groups and having an acid value of 30-300, (b) 10-50 pts.wt. of an epoxy resin having an epoxy equivalent of 380-2300 and a number average molecular weight of 700-3000 and (c) an tertiary amine compound. In the obtained resin mixture, >=50mol.% of the epoxy groups in the epoxy resin (b) is converted into tertiary ammonium salts. The objective water paint for coating outside of can is obtained by dissolving or dispersing the resin mixture in water.</p> |
