<p>The sealing device consists of a radial shaft sealing ring (2) in the boring (1) of a casing, fitting round the shaft (3) to be sealed, with a sealing lip (4) under radial stress. The sealing lip is fitted on the radially inward-facing first web of an L-shaped support ring (6) of tough hard material. The second web (7), extending axially, has a coating (8) of elastomer material on the radially outward side. This is laid under radial stress against the wall (9) bounding the casing boring. There is a roller bearing (10) extending radially between the second web and the shaft.</p> |
