The combination apparatus (20), preseparator (98), vacuum regulator (96) and check valve (106) silences and filters air flow and separates air-contaminant mixtures. The combination apparatus (20) comprises an annular housing (22) having an outer wall (24) and a channel (26) defining a central axis (28). The channel (26) has primary gas inlet (30) coupled to an air filter (102), a primary gas outlet (32) coupled to an engine induction system, and a channel wall (34) therebetween. A secondary inlet port (42) passes through the outer wall (24) and a secondary outlet port (46) defines an opening in the channel (26). A baffle (50) is axially disposed within the housing (22) defining a first and second flow passageway (70, 82). Second baffles (74) are disposed within the first and second passageways (70, 82) to effect serpentine flow through each flow passageway and filter material (86) is disposed within each flow passageway.
