Parallel=axis differential for vehicles

The differential includes two co-axial side transmission gears (20,30) in a casing. The end sectors of the two co-axial output shafts (60) are connected to the gear wheels, which are helical, but with opposite angling of the helix. They are engaged with each other via paired gears (40,50). The axis of rotation of each of these gears is parallel to the axis of rotation of the casing. There are washers (70L,70C,70R) between the gears and the casing. The two side transmission gears are pre-tensioned in opposite directions by springs (80L,80R). This creates friction between the side transmission gears and the washers.
