Protective valve for vehicle braking system

The protective valve (10) has overflow valves (14A, 14B, 14C, 14D) in its casing (13) for the main and auxiliary consumer circuits (A, B, C, D) of the system. The casing can take any of a selection of mounted components (42) for the creation of different flow paths to the overflow valves. The casing is therefore suitable, without further machining, both for the variant of protective valve with central inflow of the overflow valves, and also for the variant with paired series switching of the overflow valves for one main consumer circuit and one auxiliary consumer circuit.
