<p>Position and orientation of receiving antennae with respect to magnetic field transmitting antennae are determined. The transmitter consists of two or more antennae (8) whose dimensions are large compared to the distance to the receiver. The receiver consists of two or more antennae (5) that are sensitive to the type of signal transmitted. A computer (6) is used to control the transmitting and receiving elements and to convert the received signals into position and orientation.</p> |
