Anti coupling device for a king pin of a self supporting semitrailer for tractors

The security lock is clamped over the coupling pin of a parked semi trailer and prevents the trailer being hitched onto a truck. The lock mechanism inside the security lock is protected by two angled metal plates (18,21) which are hardened to resit boring. The plates are also angled to deflect any drills. The plates are angled in a V-formation inside the body of the security lock, with the V-shape in two axes and with an apex angle of approx. 40 deg. The plates are clad on the outside of the security lock. A simple outer cladding can be rubber.
