PURPOSE: To improve the operating efficienty and the reliability and to easily sense the shifting feeling in the operation of a shift lever by comprising the breakerless photo-sensor devices respectively mounted on a shift shaft and a select shaft, and a roller device rotatably contacted with a cam mounted on one end of the shift shaft. CONSTITUTION: This shift lever apparatus 1 in a pneumatic transmission, comprises a select rod 12 supported by a pin 27 on a shift shaft 20 of which both ends are supported by a housing 3, and a shift lever 13 is fitted in an upper end of the rod 12. A ball 9 energized by a spring, is accommodated in a lower hole 38 of the select rod 12, and rotated on a recessed groove 29 formed on a housing lower plate. A cam 35 is fixed to one end of the shift shaft 20, and a roller 33 on a roller guide 34 is rotatably contacted with the cam 35 to make the operation of the shift lever 13 easy. In the shifting operation, an electric signal corresponding to a position of the shift lever 13 is output to a control unit from an optical sensor device 50. |
