PURPOSE:To prevent the profile of a dye laser light amplified at each stage from varying and the beam quality from deteriorating when the dye laser light is outputted through each pumping region having a medium width. CONSTITUTION:Optical imaging systems 3, 5 are disposed on the input side each of two stage amplifiers 20, 21 and a dye laser light is amplified through the amplifiers 20, 21 before being outputted. In this regard, the pumping region of the second stage amplifier 21 is shaped to have the medium width (m) times as large as that of the first stage amplifier 20 and the medium length m<2> times as large as that of the first stage amplifier 20. Consequently, the image at each point in the first stage pumping region can be focused at a corresponding point in the second stage pumping region through an optical imaging system 5. |
