PURPOSE:To relieve operational burden in the case of picture transition by switching the hierarchical structure of a multi-hierarchical menu corresponding to a designating operation and transiting a picture according to the designated hierarchical structure after switching. CONSTITUTION:When a changeover switch is depressed on a sub-menu picture 3-2, the mode of a hierarchical structure is switched from a multi-hierarchical menu M1 to a multi-hierarchical menu M2, and a main menu picture B is displayed. In the main menu picture B, all the sub-menus corresponding to the second hierarchy of the multi-hierarchical menu M1 are displayed. When the menu of a copy position is selected in this picture, the picture is transited to a low-order sub-menu picture 1-1. Thus, when the switching of the hierarchical structure is instructed by the changeover switch, the mode of hierarchical structure is switched from the multi-hierarchical menu M1 displayed up to this point to the multi-hierarchical menu M2 and the main menu picture B is displayed, so that the sub-menu can directly be selected by the main menu B. |
