PURPOSE:To provide an emergency lighting device capable of simplifying a circuit configuration. CONSTITUTION:When a commercial AC power supply E is operating, electric current flows to a relay coil RyL11, thereby closing a relay contact RyS11a and opening other relay contacts RyS11b and RyS11c. The voltage of the power supply E is full-wave rectified with a full-wave rectifier 12 and, then, smoothed with a smoothing circuit 13. Then, the voltage is made to resonate through the primary winding Tr12a of the inverter transformer Tr12 of the first inverter circuit 14 and a capacitor 15, and converted to high-frequency AC to induce high-frequency AC across the secondary winding Tr12c of the transformer Tr12, thereby turning on a fluorescent lamp FL. When the power supply E is interrupted, no current flows to the coil RyL11. Thus, the contact RyS11a is opened, while the contacts RyS11b and RyS11c are closed. Also, the voltage of a battery B is made to resonate through the primary winding Tr12b of the inverter transformer Tr12 of the circuit 14 and a capacitor C17, and converted to high-frequency AC, thereby turning on the fluorescent lamp FL. |
