A feminine hygiene article such as a sanitary napkin, including a fluid-absorbing pad, a surface layer arranged thereon and an impervious layer arranged beneath said absorbent pad for contact with an undergarment. Said article includes at least one fluid collector with an upper end located at a certain distance (d) away from said surface layer and arranged for contact with the body, and a lower end located at the lower surface of the pad, preferably beneath said lower surface. Furthermore, said collector consists of a bundle including at least one multi-stranded fibrous portion, and the part of the collector which is located above said surface layer is looped. |
