The screen belt (1) is designed like a scraper conveyor and has scraper webs (7) fixed aligned across the conveyor direction on side drive chains (6a,6b). Cables (10) running in the conveyor direction are guided through the webs at predetermined intervals to form with same the screen mesh of a specific size. The screen area (16) extends as an internal opening between the screen frames (14,18) over the entire width of the conveyor and in the conveyor direction over more than the length of one screen mesh, preferably over more than the length of two. The screen frame (18) on the discharge side is supported resiliently relative to the machine frame (1) through spring guides (22a to 22d) with pretensioned springs. The screen frame (18) has an inlet incline (19) facing the screen area (16) so that rocks hanging in the mesh cause a downward movement of the screen frame with a simultaneously increasing ejection force.
