PURPOSE: To improve strength and to reduce dragging force in a hollow metallic head of a golf club, by equipping a protruding bar part in the center of the bottom wall part and forming plural dish type dent part between the protruding bar part and a heal part and a toe part. CONSTITUTION: This head of a golf club 10 is constituted of a shell body which has toe part 32, heal part 30, rear wall part 26, front wall part 28 of the face, upper wall part, and bottom wall part. The bottom wall part is equipped with a protruding bar part 60 at the center and plural dish type dent parts 162, 164 are formed between the protruding bar part 60 and the heel part 30 and the toe part 32 respectively. The both dish type dent parts 162, 164 are separated rearward from the front wall part 28 respectively and equipped with each arc shaped periphery part expanded out toward the heel part 30 and the toe part 32, and are defined in a mutual mirror image relation with respect to a vertical plane extending in the front rear direction to bisect the protruding bar part 60. Further, an outer border line 300 is separated from another dent part 164. |
