The invention concerns finely dispersed, emulsifier-free cosmetic or dermatological oil-in-water type preparations containing: an oil phase containing one or a plurality of covalent oils, fats and/or waxes as the main component; an aqueous phase; one or a plurality of thickeners selected from the group comprising acrylic acid polymers, polysaccharides and their alkyl ethers, these thickeners not having any emulsifying properties; and optionally containing conventional cosmetic or dermatological auxiliary substances, additives and/or active substances.
