The cover has a glass hollow body which has a clear view area facing the observer and influencing the light strength distribution. With the exception of a lamp-side opening enclosed by a fixture edge it is closed. Behind the clear view area (15) is a light-permeable body (12) formed with a structured surface (22), which is firmly connected with the hollow body (11). The hollow body area (19) connecting to the light-permeable body is formed with a light-permeable but with a reduced transparent surfaces. The surfaces (21,22) of the light-permeable body facing the observer (14) and/or the lamp (16) have a structuring.
