Steel separating deck for ships

The deck is made from panels (7) supported by the cross-beam construction of the supporting bracing of the ship. The panels consist of separated square tubes (2), which lie parallel to one another in a plane, and which have covering on their upper (3) and lower (4) sides. The coverings consist of thin sheet metal, with a thickness of less than 3mm, and which are connected to the square tubing. The connections may be beneath one another, and may preferably be made by electrical spot-welding. A surrounding frame (1) may also be connected to the outer edge of the panel.
