PURPOSE:To expand the application range of an industrial microbicide by combining an alpha-chlorobenzaldoxime acetate derivative with methylenebisthiocyanate and optionally a halocyanoacetamide derivative. CONSTITUTION:This industrial microbicide is produced by combining an alpha- chlorobenzaldoxime acetate derivative of formula I ((n) is 0-2) with methylenebisthiocyanate and optionally a halocyanoacetamide derivative of formula II (R<1> is H, a halogen or a lower alkyl; R<2> is H or a lower alkyl; X is a halogen). The industrial microbicidc has remarkably expanded range of controllable microorganisms, an extremely broad antimicrobial spectrum, excellent bactericidal and fungicidal effects and a characteristic synergistic effect to remarkably suppress the proliferation of bacteria and fungi. The weight ratio of the compound of formula I to the methylenebisthiocyanate is 10:1 to 1:5 and the amount of the compound of formula II is 20-500wt.% based on the sum of the above two components. |
