PURPOSE:To enable the breaking damage of needles to be avoided, and also enable the stitching position to be located at accurate and regular pitches at the time of conducting a stitching operation along the peripheral direction of a green tier to be fabricated in its tire manufacturing process for discharging air. CONSTITUTION:A bearer roller 15 is inserted into the central opening from both sides with respect to a green tire G set in a standing posture, and by rising up the bearer roller 15, the green tire G is pressed against needles 17. Since the distance between the stitching position (outer peripheral surface) and the bearer roller 15 is short in the green tire G, any distortion is not likely to occur in the green tire and thus excess forces do not act to the needles. Also, the angular alteration of the green tire can be done by the rotation of the bearer roller 15, thereby obtaining accurate peripheral pitches in the stitching position. |
