PURPOSE:To stably perform recording and to reduce jitters in a reproduced signal even after rewrite of the number of many times are performed in a recording method in which mark strings consisting of plural marks are allowing to correspond to a recording code by recording the recording code by properly combining a basic code and a noninteger times code. CONSTITUTION:Individual recording codes are divided into the basic code 2T, the noninteger times code 3T of 1/3.5 to 3.5 times of the length of the basic code 2T and combination, and respective codes are outputted as laser modulation signals corresponding to recording pulses, and respective independent recording mark strings are formed on a recording medium. Thus, a reproduced signal level is prevented from lowering even when one recording code is recorded by the recording mark string, and stable recording is performed even in a modulation system incorporating a long recording code. Further, in a rewrite type recording medium, the jitters in the reproduced signal are reduced even after the rewrite are performed many times. |
