PURPOSE:To provide an image forming device eliminating the wasteful image formation for a blank document, preventing a waste of the paper, toner, and time, and easy to use. CONSTITUTION:A page memory 12 and an image data detecting circuit 13 are connected to a CCD line image sensor 9 converting the reflected light of a read document into an electrical signal. The electrical signal converted by the line image sensor 9 is inputted to the page memory 12 and also to the detecting circuit 13. When the detecting circuit 13 judges that the read document has an image, the transfer paper is fed from a paper feed section 41, and the image data stored in the page memory 12 are fed to an image processor 20 to start a copying action. When the detecting circuit 13 judges that there is no image, no paper is fed, and no data is outputted to the image processor 20. |
