PURPOSE:To analyze frequency signals including fluctuations with high accuracy. CONSTITUTION:Vital signals, such as brain waves, are converted by an A/D conversion circuit 2 to digital signals which are then sampled at prescribed periods by an embedment operation circuit 3 to form time series data. This data is embedded into the dot arrays on the prescribed dimensional space to reconstitute an attractor. A mean distance is determined by executing weighting according to the distances from one point on the orbit of the attractor to the respective points on another orbit in accordance with the dot arrays by a Liapunov index calculation circuit 4. A Liapunov index is determined from the approximation matrix of the dynamic system function of the attractor by using a method of least squares in accordance with the mean value. Diagnosis of the vital signals is executed from the Liapunov index determined in an analyzing means 5. |
