PURPOSE:To inexpensively print a cover of a book in an extremely simple manner without composing a type. CONSTITUTION:A foil printing apparatus for a cover of a book consists of a character image forming part 1 forming an image signal of a character to be printed, a character printing part 2 printing a character due to toner on a material 3 becoming the cover of a book on the basis of the formed character image signal and a foil bonding part 6 superposing a foil sheet 5 excellent in the adhesiveness with toner on a cover material 4 on which a character is printed. The foil sheet 5 is peeled from the cover sheet 4 taken out of the foil adhesive part 6 to complete the printing of foil. |
