The invention relates to glass compositions for the manufacture of mineral wool having favourable physiologic properties as well as good production technical, production economical and product favourable properties. The glass composition contains SiO2 in the amount of 45-55 % by weight, Al2O3 in the amount of 0-8 % by weight, B2O3 in the amount of 0.3-5 % by weight, Fe-oxides in the amount of 0-10 % by weight, alkalic earth oxides in the amount of 32-45 % by weight and alkalic oxides in the amount of 0-6 % by weight. Also favourable relationships of different oxides are defined. |
