The ends (44) of the tubular cross members (14) enter the blind holes (42) in the tubular portion (40) of the bracket (12), and are secured against rotation and axial movement. Holes (34,36) are for securing the bracket to the vehicle structure. Various methods of securing the tubes to the bracket are described. The bracket and tubes may be made in a variety of materials.
