摘要 The method makes it possible to machine workpieces made of titanium and titanium alloys with cutting speeds of the order of 150 m/min, for a material throughput rate identical to that previously obtained at 60 m/min. Spraying of lubricating fluid under very high pressures (60 to 400 bar) is employed. The main element is a spray clamp (2) comprising internal ducts (5, 6) making it possible to convey one or more jets of fluid under very high pressures towards the cutting edge (9) of the machining tip (insert) (10).
