The airtight hollow wheel body (1) is made from deep drawn sheet metal parts (1.2,1.3,1.4) which have been welded together. The inner space (1.1) is connected by openings (1.5) with the inner space (2.1) of the tyre (2). The inner portion of the rear wheel (1.4) is connected to the rim section (1.3) and encloses in a pot-shaped manner the fastening flange (5) of the axle shaft (5.1) held in the axle tube (8). Support tubes (1.6) ensure adequate stiffness of the wheel and enclose the nuts 4 and the bolts 3 holding the wheel on the fastening flange.
