The carrying device (10) has a carrier belt (15) and a fixing device for fixing to the object being transported. The fixing device has at least two slinging devices fitted at the end zones (13,14) of the carrier belt, with two slinging lashes (17,18) for fixing the object being transported. They have fixing zones (20,21) overlapping each other, at least at their end zones. The slinging devices may be made of the same material as the carrier belt. Adhesive connecting devices (19,20) may be fitted to the slinging devices, at least in their end zones, to form the fixing zones. The carrier belt can be made as one item, in which case it has a shortening device so that overlapping strap handles can be fixed in their relative positions.
