A hand mixing device with a housing equipped with a handle has at least one working shaft (6) which is in drive connection with an electric motor accommodated in the housing. To facilitate the fitting of a tool, the free end of the working shaft (6) is provided with a profiled recess (18) running all the way round, which, when the tool is fitted, is located inside a fitting hub of the tool and which is bounded on the motor side by the cylindrical working shaft (6) or a cylindrical portion (10) of the same and on the other side by a convex cambered shaft portion (19) which extends up to the front face of the shaft end.
