A polypeptide (PP) capable of interacting with the SH3 domain of GAP (GTPase Activating Protein) and comprising one of the following sequences is new. (a) sequence (I) of 466 amino acids (AAs) given in the specification; (b) sequence (II) of 68 AAs (corresp. to residues 319-386 of (I)); or (c) one of the sequences (III)-(VI): Val-Met-Glu-Lys-Pro-Ser-Pro-Leu-leu-Val-Gly-Arg-Glu-Phe-Val-Arg-Gln-Ty r-Ile (III) Xaa<1>-Xaa<2>-Glu-Gly-Asp-Asp-Arg-Asp-Asn-Arg-Leu-Leu-Gly-Pro (IV) Leu-Pro-Asn-Phe-Gly-Phe-Val-Val-Phe-Asp-Asp-Ser-Glu-Pro-Val-Gln-Lys (V) Ser-Ala-Thr-Pro-Ala-Pro-Ala-Asp-Val-Ala-Pro-Ala-Gln-Glu-Asp-Leu-Arg-Xa a<3>-Phe (VI); Xaa<1> = Ala or Thr; Xa<2> = any AA; Xaa<3> = not defined.
