An antifibrotic composition based on polymerized collagen. The invention relates to a new composition based on polymeric collagen, with an antifibrotic, regenerative effect. In a preferred embodiment the composition comprises soluble collagen and a vinyl polymer. The vinyl polymer provides a controlled crosslinking of the collagen, which is largely responsible for the antifibrotic activity. The composition is applicable in the treatment of tissues of organs which are injured or affected by fibrosis.
