<p>A quick connector coupling (10) for forming a joint in a fluid line includes a female connector body (14) having a bore (21) which receives a male member (82). A manually operable retention clip (12) has legs (16) which extend through slots (48) formed in the connector body (14). The legs (16) are positioned between an upset (84) formed on the male member (82) and the entrance to the bore (21) to prevent removal of the male member (82) from the connector body (14). Operating tabs (32) formed on the retention clip (12) are manually operating to spread the legs (16) apart a distance sufficient to permit withdrawal of the male member (82) from the connector body (14).</p> |
