PROCESS FOR PRODUCING POLYARYLLATE

摘要

Polyarylate is prepd. by melt-polymerising aromatic diol and aromatic dicarboxylic acid halide or their mixture where esp. di-2-ethyl hexyl phthalate or dibutyl phthalate as a plasticizer is directly added. Pref. the plasticizer is added 5-15 wt. pts w.r.t. 100 wt. pts of the aromatic diol component. The process reduces byproducts; and the obtd. polyarylate has heat resistance, mechanical strength, weather resistance and flame retardance, and esp. melt-molding workability.
