PURPOSE:To surely reduce the rotational speed fluctuation of an image carrier generated by the contact action of a cleaning member with a simple constitution, even if a fly wheel is not used by providing an abutting member always brought into press-contact with the periphery of the image carrier at least in the same direction as the abutting direction of the cleaning member. CONSTITUTION:This color image forming device is provided with the rotary image carrier 1, plural developing units 4a-4b developing an electrostatic latent image formed on the image carrier 1 with toner, a transfer unit 6 transferring a toner image on the image carrier 1 to a transfer material 12, the cleaning member 20 for removing residual toner which is provided so as to be attachable/ detachable to/from the periphery of the image carrier and the abutting member 30 always brought into press-contact with the periphery of the image carrier 1 at least in the same direction as the abutting direction of the cleansing member 20. Thus, even if the rotational speed fluctuation of the image carrier 1 is generated by the attaching/detaching actions of the cleaning member 20, the speed fluctuation is absorbed each other between the abutting member 30 and the cleaning member 20 and attenuated and a variation is not increased but mitigated. |
