PREFABRICATED CONNECTING SECTION FOR RUBBER/PLASTIC POWER CABLE

PURPOSE:To prevent shifting of a stopper by fitting a rubber band with projections to the internal peripheral surface of the stopper so that the projections of the rubber band can adhere closely to a cable insulator. CONSTITUTION:Such a ring stopper 8 made of an insulator and a rubber band 9 carrying a plurality of projections in the width direction is stuck to the internal surface of the stopper 8 with an adhesive is used. The stopper 8 is put between the front end section of a rubber stress cone 4 and the buried electrode 6 of an epoxy bushing 5 so that the projections of the rubber band 9 can closely adhere to a cable insulator 1. When the projections closely adhere to the insulator 1, the shifting of the stopper 8 can be prevented. The stopper can be applied to the already installed epoxy bushing 5 and a large-diameter cable which reduces the gap between the buried electrode 6 and insulator 1. In addition, the stopper 8 can be effectively used for almost all prefabricated connecting sections of rubber/plastic power cables.
