PURPOSE:To prevent the nonuniformity of density from occurring in an image region by an exposing part at the time of performing APC and a printing start time from being made longer by rotating a part of a photoreceptor drum exposed with the APC once or more. CONSTITUTION:When the first true of a scanner motor ready signal is detected, a laser light quantity is controlled (the APC is performed) and a laser driver 106 is controlled/adjusted so as to obtain a prescribed light quantity. The leading edge synchronizing signal of a recording medium and a horizontal synchronizing signal are generated to a video controller 103. At this time, the photoreceptor drum 112 is controlled so as to make a period longer than that of one rotation. An engine controller 105 masks a video signal so that a laser diode 107 does not emit light except in a region where an image can be formed on the recording medium and at the timing of detecting the laser light by a photodetector. The video signal after being masked modulates the laser light with the laser driver 106 or the laser diode 107, to expose the photoreceptor drum 112. |
