PURPOSE:To provide a segmenting processor for polygonal line, which reduces the amount of processings that are to be prepared for segmenting and which can reduce the time required for the processing. CONSTITUTION:A plotting part 11 plots the polygonal line in a plotting area 12 in accordance with the operation of an input device 3. A segmenting part 13 segments an arbitrary part of the area 12, extracts data on the included polygonal line, retrieves a processing table 16 based on the combination of the respective states of a pair of linear sections which constitute the polygonal life and which are mutually adjacent, and reads a binary value. The respective bits of the binary value respectively correspond to the propriety of the respective processings defined in a processing definition 17. The segmenting part 13 retrieves the processing definition 17 based on the binary value, executes the processing to data extracted in accordance with a processing content which is read and transfers it to a display control part 14. The display control part 14 executes a display processing based on transferred data, and reconstructs the polygonal line existing within a prescribed range in a display area 15. |
