PURPOSE:To reduce tensile force against a member and sliding torque and improve the eccentricity-following property, while maintaining static leak resisting performance. CONSTITUTION:In a seal device 1 sealing an annular clearance between two members 2, 3 relatively rotatably built concentrically to each other, providing a seal lip 7 slidably brought into seal contact with the one member 3 of the two members 2, 3, and notching a helical slit 8 in a sliding surface side of the seal lip 7 during a part from a lip point end 71 to a root 72, only the slit 8 is provided in a lip point end part 12, and a groove 10 is provided by placing a notch 9 against the slit 8 from an axial direction specific position. |
