The generators are for generating a drum motor pulse and reel pulse without driving a motor in a control jig so that the time necessary to test a VCR is decreased. The generator includes a first buffer(6) for buffering a compound synchronous signal, a horizontal signal eliminator(7) for eliminating horizontal synchronous signal in output signal of the buffer(6), an amplifier(8) for amplifying output signal of the horizontal synchronous signal generator(7), a pulse generator(10) for generating a rectangular pulse signal according to the output signal of the amplifier(8), and a PG pulse generator(12) for generating PG pulse by differentiating output signal of the pulse generator(10).
