The invention concerns a composition containing 45 to 99 % by wt. of a permanently magnetic and/or ferromagnetic metal-containing compound and 1 to 55 % by wt. of a polymer of the formula (I) HO-[-CO-R1-CO-X-Y-Z-]n-H (I) in which R1 is phenyl, naphtyl, cyclohexyl or cyclohexenyl or a derivative thereof substituted with C1-C4 alkyl and, when R1 is phenyl, the carboxy groups are in the ortho, meta or para configuration with respect to each other, X and Z are oxygen or NR2, R2 being H or C1-C4 alkyl, Y is (CH2)m or phenyl, cyclohexyl or cyclopenthyl, m being a to 12 and n is a whole number. The invention also concerns a method of preparing the composition, a magnetic and a non-magnetic moulding made from the composition, the production of such mouldings and the use of the composition. |
