The drawing unit (1) operation is resumed and accelerated to prodn. speed according to the temp. of the roller (5) set for prodn. speed running. Also claimed is an appts. with a preceding or parallel drawing unit (2,5) to the working unit (4,5) operating at prodn. speeds. A mechanism lifts the yarn (11) clear of the working unit (4) or lowers the roller (5) temp.
