The desk has a number of different support surfaces for receiving the various components of a personal computer, e.g. the keyboard, the monitor and the processor. The monitor is supported by a surface which is angled rearwards and downwards, behind the front support surface for the computer keyboard, so that the monitor screen is visible to the keyboard operator without further movement of the head. Pref. the support surface for the processor or the printer is positioned horizontally above the support surface for the monitor and the surface for the keyboard can slide horizontally for access to a storage compartment.
