The lawnmower has two or more radial cutting blades (23) held between two clamping plates (4, 5) by spring-loaded lugs (9) mounted in one plate (4). The other plate can be rotated relative to the first, with the ends of the lugs moving over a profiled guide (12) between a locking position (13) and a fully released position. This enables the cutting blades to be attached and removed without any additional fasteners. The two plates are mounted on the motor shaft with the lug plate (4) rotating with the shaft and the other plate loosely attached. The two plates are pressed towards each other by spring washers (16).
