Advertising display device

The device has a flat-fronted transparent housing containing an advertising information band (8), which is fed between 2 opposing reels (6,9), in front of a display window. One of the reels (6) is directly coupled to an electric drive motor (7), coupled to the second reel (9) via a belt drive (2,4,5). The differences in the peripheral velocities of the 2 reels are compensated by a torsion spring (10), between the second reel and its associated shaft (3), to prevent the band length between the reels becoming slack.
