An audible signaling device (8) mounted on a product container (10) is actuated by the opening of the container. The signaling device comprises a power source (38), a memory (34) for storing data corresponding to audible tones, an electronic sound generator (36) for accessing the memory and generating audible tones, and a switch (42) for connecting the electronic sound generator to the power source. The switch is responsive to the opening of the container whereupon audible tones are produced.
